As a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Clifton, the Preschool provides a nurturing Christian environment of safety and learning in which each child may thrive physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Programs:
After-School Program:
We offer After-School pick up from Clifton Elementary for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. A snack is provided to each child. After-School Care closes at 5:30 PM each school day following the Clifton ISD calendar.
Summer Care Program:
We offer a Summer Care program for children Pre-K through 5th grade from 7:15am - 5:30pm. The Summer Care program begins on May 30, 2023 and ends on August 4, 2023.
FAQs
What about holidays or bad weather days?
FUMC Preschool follows the Clifton ISD school calendar. For example, Preschool’s first and last day of school is the same as Clifton ISD. The Preschool will be closed the same holidays as Clifton ISD. If Clifton ISD takes a bad weather day, FUMC Preschool will also be closed.
What do we teach children in our care?
We use center-based hands-on learning. We use Little Hands to Heaven Bible-based curriculum that teaches basic Bible stories and includes language, math, literacy, science, and social studies. Handwriting Without Tears curriculum is the workbook material that we use. It is the same curriculum used by the state of Texas in public school Pre-K classes.
