These are our groups that meet weekly or
monthly for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship:
Tuesday Bible Study
Currently on hiatus! This Bible Study group meets in the Fellowship Hall every Tuesday from 11:00am-12:00pm and is an in-depth study of entire books of the Bible. This class is led by Pastor Don Moore and is going through the history, beliefs, and practices of the United Methodist Church.
JOY Group
The Joyful Older Youth or JOY Group as it is known, meets each week following the Tuesday Bible study. The meeting time is at noon in the church’s fellowship hall. Bring your own lunch and drink and friends! Prepare for an afternoon of fun, food, and great fellowship as well as a few games of “combat” dominoes and/or cards.
Journey Into God’s Word
This 15 session study will began on September 27th and is held each Wednesday! Led by Alex Balch, this study teaches how to read and interpret the Bible on your own by utilizing a book called “Journey Into God’s Word” by Duvall & Hays (2nd edition). We go through translation issues, interpretive difficulties, and how to best understand the Biblical text in its original context and apply it to our lives. All are welcome; participants are encouraged to go on ahead and buy their copy of Journey Into God’s Word.
Second Sunday Lunches
Each second Sunday of the month, we have a meal consisting of fried chicken, dessert and whatever side-dishes are are brought. This is free to attend and all are welcome!
